Late night lojban lesson with the stubborn 4yo:

me: Do you remember any lojban? mi prami do
4yo: mi prami do, what does dat mean?
me: it means "I love you"
4yo: mi prami do *gives me a cuddle*
me: cinba *gives him a kiss*
4yo: what does dat mean?
me: it means 'kiss'
4yo: sheen ba! *gives me a kiss*
me: ko sipna, that means 'go to sleep!'

He's still not asleep.

We had one day where the smalls played Maths Seeds and Tao found himself a doco about octopi (or at least the bit I saw of it had an octopus glooping through a "maze" of clear plastic pipes) just because it was fun.  We had a kerbside collection recently which meant there were a lot of people kerbside collecting, including Josh who picked up an outdoor setting, three tubs, a shelving unit and two working monitors.

The 8yo white 24" iMac has finally died so Josh is now sharing the netbook with Cub.  The extra monitor has been hooked up to it and Josh had also wired up a seriously old 5.1 sound system we had that had some wires snap and we never quite got around to repairing it (then I bought new speakers).

7yo: Mummy what do you want for Christmas?
Me: world peace and everyone to stop shoving their beliefs down everyone else's throats.
7yo: w...orl...d...pea...ce...world peace I think.

Well, the mesh borked so terribly that I figured I would probably spend about as much time fixing it as I would starting over, so I started over.

Well I was wrong.

The last version of the horns took me about 8 months all up.  I don't want to know how long I would have taken to eventually fix the mesh as I know I spent a good week or so experimenting.  Starting over this version took me...

...3 days (or the equivalent thereof as long blocks of work are hard to come by).

Another disorganised week.  I did finally acknowledge the fact we don't do weekends in the traditional sense so dumping that idea.  I'm slow but I get there eventually.

4am: Cub wets the bed for the second morning in a row (yesterday morning it was 5am).  I bathe him and strip the sheets and make up half the bed and in the meantime he goes to his bed where Josh is.  Josh comes and squeezes into the dry side of the bed with me (tight fit as it's the equivalent of a single at this point)

9am: finally haul self out of bed.  Ru has been awesome as per usual and has been managing Cub while I slept in.  Coffee, laundry, try to get some 3d done while intermittently poking at the server trying to figure out which bits were nomming the memory and cpu so much so often.  Brain refusing to cooperate.

Once upon a time I decided to pick Lojban as AR's international auxiliary language because it was not Euro-specific and hadn't been created for someone else's work of fiction (not that there's anything wrong with those things, I just wanted something international that was actually "international" and I didn't want to poach someone else's conlang that had been done for their thing, but one that was constructed just for fun/to use was okay :P).  I was also rather lazy had lots of stuff to think about and Lojban had the easiest alphabet to deal with (ascii which is not exactly "neutral" but is a standard).

Seeing as I found little to nothing when searching for how to configure individual role permissions, editor settings and enabling contrib filters with an install profile, I made something on the off-chance it helps some other poor sap like me who doesn't automagically know where to look for these things.

Enabling filters provided by contrib modules

Search in the .module files for _filter_info. Some modules use the same format as Drupal filters of $filters['modulename_filter'], others don't. Typogrify doesn't:
