It used to be that either I would have to feed Tao to sleep or Josh or me (or anyone else really, Mum always seemed happy to do it but he's ours etc ;) would have to carry him and cuddle him to sleep.

A couple of times he surprised us by falling asleep all by his cute little self.

Lately he's been doing that pretty much all the time. As long as he's fed and calm and ready for a nap we can put him down anywhere comfortable and he will go to sleep by himself. If he's down for a long nap he will sometimes wake up for a nappy change, and if still tired after that, a brief cuddle period usually has him back to sleep.

He is such a great little baby :)

He seems to be sleeping for as long as he's awake for lately which means he should be waking up right...about...now.

"Kids grow up too fast".

I'm more inclined to believe that kids grow up at a normal rate and that time is distorted by parents taking too long to get used to the phase of development the child is in until they're well into it and starting to get out of it, or being too self centred at the wrong time.

So we are going to enjoy every single day of Tao's life, not because we never know when we may lose him, but because he is an amazing piece of work, something beautiful, the greatest thing that both of us have the privilege to be responsible for, because he deserves the attention, and because we love him ever so very much.

...there was me, my husband (Josh), 5 cats (Sanguine, Graymalkin, Darkness, Ghost and Itti Bitti Kitti), a dog (Fenrir) and some number of fish (was 2 algae eaters and 3 goldfish but they've been breeding). For anyone who cares I'm 24 (was 23 when Tiny was born) and Josh is 26 turning 27 this year.

Then there was "the accident".

My World of Darkness kitsune character, Yue.  Her English name is Kit Fox, because I like Mechwarrior and felt like I had to :P She's probably bad tempered because someone teased her about her name ;)
