conniptions concerning conflicted convoluted confusing contemplations

Blogging was more slogging than anything else last year. Some of it was just time management issues (glitchy brain thing, my brain violently rejects schedules and todo lists but I need them to actually get more stuff done or at least a little bit progressed otherwise what happens is I make immense mindblowing progress on whatever my hyperfocus is on before I burn out in 1-7 days and literally nothing else gets done at all) and sleep issues caused from very incorrectly trying to deal with the time management issues (pro-tip: regularly sacrificing sleep because that’s literally the only thing left that you can cut to try to gain some more time to work on things is guaranteed to make literally everything else exponentially worse, literally).
Most of it was just me freaking the hell out over pretty much every word and whether or not things were explained enough or too much and easy to understand and enough progress since the last one because perfectionism which then made what should be a relatively quick (~15-60min) job sometimes take hours (and going to bed late).
It made it a lot less fun.
I really want to go back to my pre-Patreon stage of blogging where I would just post whatever (even multiple times a day! But that was still pretty rare even when I was posting most if not every day and would have been micro plus normal if it happened) with zero care or concern for stupid things like posting schedules and predictability and SEO and keywords and reach and alienating potential audiences who only came for one very specific type of content.
I’m planning on experimenting with microblogging the progblogs by doing them in a similar way to how I currently do ko-fi which is basically just the screenies with a bit of text (usually saying that I wrote a progblog but obviously that will change). Ideally this will let me share the progress like I want without stressing about “crafting” a legible post around it.
I am of course mildly concerned that any hive followers that I have won’t see the snaps as I feel like a lot of them don’t use/look at that side, but honestly it would have been mostly gibberish to most people anyway.
While I’m experimenting with microblogging I will also likely post at least some of my sketchbook sketchies and daily photos (a new thing I added after Christmas while on holiday to further try to force myself to stop stressing about literally everything) and maybe my patchwork projects (yet another thing that progresses glacially). Non-zero chance I may potentially break POSSE (Publish Own Site Syndicate Elsewhere - who knew this thing I have done for aeons had a name) occasionally to play with Snapie (I would then have to cross post the other way back to my blog).
I have actually managed to fit in compiling long form blog posts (they run over days/weeks/months/years though the ones that take years are more likely to get retired or deleted than finished), there’s several drafts that may end up getting finished at some stage. The only clear idea I have is I’d like to do more gardening and hiking posts. The rest will be full posts for whatever art or decent renders I manage to put out and whatever else fickles my tancy.
The real “test” is going to be how well things fit when term starts back up along with the normal work schedule.
