We went to the footy today. Hung out with mother in law and kids while
Josh and his dad went off to the corporate function they had tickets
too. We had lunch, walked around the markets, Carmel bought Tao a blue
blowup hand, we stopped in a photo studio and got the kids photos taken
dressed up, then went to the game.
Game was good after the fairly
ordinary first quarter. We spent a lot of time cheering and Tao waved
his blue hand and cheered every time we scored a goal (aside from the
bit where he had a nap).
The highlight came at the end of the
game when the Dockers came out with their little footies to give to the
kids, and The Wizard (Jeff Farmer, number 33) sauntered right up to Tao
(who was standing on the fence with his big blue hand with Nanna
supporting him) and handed him one of the footies.
Tao was so shocked he didn't know what to say or do, just took the footy.
Carmel
was thanking Farmer profusely and I yelled "THANKS WIZ!" and he glanced
at me, hopefully understood what I'd said and went off to kick his
other footy into the crowd.
Shortly after he was all "Docker gave
me a pooty!" ad refused to let go of the footy for the rest of the day.
He is still all over the inflatable hand and the footy now.
Wonder if he got on TV :P
