Pokemon themed sketchdump

The kids watched many Pokemon dvds while we were on Christmas Island. I have a Pokemon fanfic sketched out in my head which I don’t give a lot of time to as it’s a very occasional diversion from working on AR. This is sketch of my OT (that’s “Original Trainer” for those that aren’t versed in Pokemon fanfics) and two of her Eevees; Amber (combining cliches, she is an abnormally large shiny mutant, and female!), and Lightfoot (perfectly normal male). They’re hunting whatever might be good eating probably somewhere in the Kanto region.

Failed at scanning it for some reason, and after the third attempt really could not be bothered trying to work out what I was doing wrong (it’s worked before dammit). I will be colouring and uploading it as actual art at some point in the hopefully not too distant future.

Sprat and I also came up with an idea for a kind of Pokemon parody type game. Whether we actually make the game or just do a preview animation of it remains to be seen (lots of work, we have other stuff which we’d rather expend effort on than fanstuff etc), but I figured as a fun diversion from my seemingly hardcore AR models, I would “model them all” (649 Pokemon). So here’s a subpatch of Bulbasaur which I think took me about an hour (not sure because I was being constantly interrupted as per usual).

Next steps: freeze, detail, rig, texture. Not gonna spend too much time on them.
