The scales are still going. The only thing that's changed is that I'm now in the yellow PURPLE section! XD

I feel like I've been doing this forever.
Have I mentioned how much I didn't want to be doing this again?
On the bright side it is at least organised a lot better this time even if it's probably overkill as far as textures are concerned, and I hope it looks better, and I'm about two thirds of the way through the yellow so I'm approaching halfway?
Once again, doing a bit more work on character portraits than 3d, because my brain just doesn't want to deal with the scales. I eventually decided to keep my character consistent with the other ones (Captain Gundry and Bricky Steve) rather than doing the different headshots (partly because I'm kind of designing the outfit and the "weapon" which isn't an actual weapon, just something she uses to beat people up with when she isn't riding around on it, on the fly and mostly because it is going to take the better part of forever if I do it that way, now at least I have some idea of when I might finish).
I'm halfway through 2/5.
Bricky Steve is 16yo's friend's (aka "the other 16yo") player character, a mage who accidentally created a "perfect brick" (known as "The Ubrick" as they portmanteaud uber brick) and is now on a mission to try and recreate it, and thus developed an obsession with bricks. It's only us players that seem to call him Bricky Steve, he's just "Steve" to the other characters.
He lives and works on Captain Gundry's airship and seeems to be maintenance personnel more than anything (he's spec'd mental/social/physical) as in the last session he stayed on board with Gundry and Yue while everyone else (including 16yo's character) raided another ship, and did a lot of magic repairs to the balloon when their ship came under Umbral attack.
He's also an apprentice to some obscenely high level mage
This is a high level outline for a website/system/something to be built on hive utilising nfts and targeting adoptable/breedable artists. Adoptables seem to be a great use-case for NFTs as they're supposed to be unique and assigned to one owner at any one time and can just slot into the existing nft system hive currently has. This idea extends that to firstly specifically target artists who may only be interested in an art-centric community and secondly to simplify and possibly add a bit of chaotic randomness to the "breedable" system, which as far as I can tell is currently done at each artist's discretion. I'm throwing it "out there" and hoping someone much smarter than me will be interested enough to pick it up and run with it.
It's been written with the assumption that the reader knows more about NFT and hive (and blockchains in general) than I do.
Did a shenanigans comic for Silly Season Shenanigans for a change partly because it's been a while since I did a comic and mostly because this happened on Christmas Day.
I really need to find out what's going on with Linux Krita (unless the problem has been fixed in the system update/s that will probably be waiting for me when we get back to Perth), as exporting to jpg with MacOS Krita is working exactly as it's supposed to.
Hope you're all having a good silly season :D
I wonder if my hive crew have been missing my incessantly nonsensical comments or if they're enjoying the serenity.
As I mentioned at the end of the last progblog I wrote two weeks ago (x_x), I finally managed to pick up a cute laptop (I'm so used to getting the highest spec'd things that getting something practically off the shelf and only upgrading storage feels so weird and wrong) and get back into the overpriced (I'm now broke for the next 6 years) and very...um..."special" Apple ecosystem that I have this love/hate relationship with (love it because it's the one that gives me the least problems and I find their devices fun to use, and hate it because it is so very overpriced and some things make me -_-).
Too many gloomydoomers on my hive feed plus listening to Owl City: Shooting Star on loop results in fyn taking too long a break from retopo (this while mildly indfuriating is perfectly normal as fyn usually has to do what art brain says or bad things happen).
So this is my "it will be okay, keep going, you're doing great, we can make things better" because doing this kind of thing is easier than talking XP
so yes that's a self-indulgent selfie at the top
After an epic two day battle with my phone and my computer, I am now able to show off my new shinies.
13yo really hates spiders. Even microscopic ones. "Why do they have to move?" XD
The spider in question in this case was a tiny little thing just visible to the naked eye that was crawling along the esky lid as we were getting ready to go to a barbeque.
