Both kids enjoyed plagroup today. Smidge has been properly crawling for three days now. It’s adorable watching her crawl as her arm movements are so jerky, and she gets this ever so adorable look of determination on her face when she sees something she wants. At playgroup she found a piano xylophone and was balancing on three limbs while hammering keys with one hand, and being amazed by the sounds she was making.

Today was a good day, even if the public transport was a bit of a malarky.

Woke up in the morning, got myself and Tiny breakfast (weetbix with full cream milk, chopped strawberries and half a banana each) and switched the tv to ABC kids. Tiny had a minor tantrum when he found out JJ had gone to walk the dog without him, but quickly got over it when he noted it wasn’t getting much reaction from me and watched TV, not touching his breakfast.

I don’t think there is any sound in the world more beautiful than a baby or child’s laughter.

JJ and I cart Tiny around with us everywhere we go (partly coz he’s breastfed, partly coz we wouldn’t have it any other way), and everywhere we go people are taken by his cuteness. He’s recognising people we see frequently, and will often shoot them the most adorable gummyshark smiles, thus reducing them to melted puddles.
