Avian wing progression

Which I think looks a lot better than the Lightwave model I did five years ago (weight mapping was probably still a work in progress here or at least I hope it was, I can’t remember now):

And now comes with primary, secondary and tertial flight feathers.

My previous texture experiments on double sided planes haven’t yielded the best results unless you can avoid looking at it from too much to the side so I made these ones thicker. Hopefully I will be able to manage the coverts with particles otherwise there is more feather shenanigans in the not-too-distant future.
Also after staring at it for a while I measured the wingspan and it’s only ~5m and by my last wild guesstimate I probably need 10-12. So I’ll be resizing it at some point as well. Not sure how long it will take as I dip in and out of this paid site I’m working on that is finally moving again hence progress shots now.
