Sunday, lazy Sunday

Blatting about

Last night, I was on a roll.  I went to bed slightly later than intended.

This morning, Cub woke me up repeatedly.  First, sometime before the sun came up.  Then shortly after the sun came up and the blue light was caning my eyes.  Then after the sun came up.  And shortly after Josh staggered out of bed I did the same seeing as I couldn't sleep anyway.

I continued work on Red, and it occurred to me that I should do the laundry.  So I did.  It also occurred to me as I was headed outside from the laundry that I should also do the dishes.  I still have to do the dishes.  I also noticed that my husband was missing, he had crashed out in my room shortly after getting out of bed and had gone back to sleep.

The kids spent a lot of time playing with/arguing over Duplo (Tao built a massive model as he tends to, I really need to get more Lego.  Truckloads more Lego.) and in front of various screens.  Cub in particular spent way too much time on one of the tablets, mostly because his attempts to join in with his older siblings kept getting rebutted.  He's 3, you see, and doesn't play properly and keeps ruining the games.  I'm too short tempered and cranky to go and help them work out a solution that satisfies everyone.

Back to the computer.  Muscle memory hates me as I switched the two big screens around last night.  For some reason whoever made the current iMac cables the lengths they are seems to think that everyone who buys one of those things is going to be setting up directly on top of a power point.  The point in the powerboard I was using blew up and I had to shuffle screens to be able to utilise one that was still working as the cable wasn't long enough to reach.

I have to do a market run and I am not safe to drive.  Fortunately Josh has staggered out of bed and claims he can drive.

Red is coming along nicely.  I am happy with my progress, as long as I don't think too hard about all the storyboarding and design work (mostly on the architectural side) that I haven't done yet.  No I don't want to take a break, this is my break.
