Alternating Whinges

Blatting about

I think I did all right today, only yelled at the kids three times, twice at Tiny and once at Smidge. One of the yelling at Tao was an extended rant about I can't remember what and he didn't have a clue what I was talking about either. By naptime I was quite ready for them to have a nap but of course they were alternating crying so would wake the other one up. One stage I had Ruan on top of me while Tao was having some boob, she started squirming around a lot as she had a wet nappy and she doesn't like having a dirty nappy on (unlike Tao whom as a newborn we had to check frequently as he didn't care about the state of his nappy and if we hadn't checked we might have left him to rash infestation as it never bothered him). I tried disengaging Tao to go and change her nappy before she started bawling and woke him up. Problem was Tao refused to be disengaged and had a tantrum because I'd detached him.

Changed Ru and spent a while dealing with his crankiness, and Ruan then started crying because Tao crying was distressing her.

I managed to do a decent job being calm and understanding and all that other mum crap throughout most of it.

Gave Tao some lunch, he ate roughly the equivalent of half a chicken drumstick (peeled some flesh off for him and let him have a gnaw on the bone as well), he also needed some teething medicine, guess those molars are still bugging him a bit. Then tried putting them down again. Had a bit more success this time, though Tao kept crying coz I opted to put Ruan to sleep first seeing as he was being silly. He eventually came for some boob and he was wet again but by this point I couldn't be bothered and let him sleep in the wet nappy.

And Josh came home early! Which made me a very happy little bek indeed :) We watched an ep of Day Break (bloody good series so far, hopefully they won't screw it up, but there's that much crap out of America they statistically have to come up with a few gems every once in a red moon). Still waiting on that dining suite which is meant to be delivered some time today. If I had known they wouldn't come in the morning I would have taken the kids and the dog to the park (somehow). Although it's probably a good thing I didn't coz it bloody rained today. On and off all day and we would have gotten quite wet.

Josh is all done now anyway, no more uni crap to worry about. It's great! Finally able to focus in a little bit now which will be good :)

Speaking of which, might go do a little bit of that if he's interested, otherwise will 3d for a bit. Kinda hard to draw without a dining suite seeing as the table we had got moved outside this morning by Josh before he left to go do the last presentation as we had no idea when these delivery people would rock up.
