Woke up early today as JJ wanted to get to his exam early (as in leave at about 7:40 or so before rush hour even though the exam was at 9). I wasn’t going to come but seeing as I’d woken up anyway I figured (20mins before JJ decided he was going to leave of course) that I’d come along.
So I scoffed a milo (which is nothing on coffee but I’ve sworn off all drugs til I stop breastfeeding…whenever that may be), packed some of Tiny’s new nappies (new orders arrived :) into my backpack along with the new wetbag and my not new laptop and we was off.
JJ went to his exam, Tiny and I sat in this lounge type room which was supposed to have wireless access but not for me apparently, I played with Tiny (and changed a pooey nappy…trust him to wait til we were OnA before letting rip ;) and got him to sleep and did more work on the comic script.
JJ reported that the exam wasn’t as hard as they thought it would be but it was insanely long for a 2hr. He thinks he passed which is good.
We noted that Tiny seemed a lot happier because we’d gone out. He was being cantankerous for me yesterday. I couldn’t impress STIR CRAZE on JJ who kept insisting we stay behind due to the dodgy weather we’ve been having (yay for rain! Not yay for cold!). So he now finally agrees with me.
Now all I have to do is convince him that nappies do not need to be soaked. Well actually I’m still leaning towards soaking the pooey ones so they don’t crusty up and ickify but wet nappies are meh.
Both the boys are asleep on the futon. Suppose I should do the dishes and feed the animals though nowJJ will do it after the litter tray. I really should get myself more organised somehow.
We’re headed to Christmas Island next Saturday. I wanna catch up with aurickandrien (who kindly agreed to cat and housesit) before we go, to catch up and also to show him what needs doing. I’m going to enjoy the holiday but I’m going to miss my cats. Sigh.
Ahh well. Nearly bedtime for all of us, might try to get a few more things done before that.
