Bulbasaur digital sculpt

3d bulbasaur sculpt done in Blender

After a nice evening out with friends I fnished 2015 and started 2016 working on art.  Everything is being progressed and this makes me happy.

Finished a dynatopo sculpt of pixietrix's Bulbasaur.  Probably would have taken somewhere between 2 and 4 hours to do if I hadn't stuffed up the back legs, reverted and ended up a lot further back than expected (because apparently I hadn't saved where I thought I had).

Happy new year ^_^

Taliesin concept sketch

Biker Mice from Mars fanart - Taliesin concept

Super-quickie sketch of Taliesin (genderless shadowshifter/mouse hybrid child of Helios and Sunkiss) for Midnight to give her an idea of xir default colour scheme.

The colouring was also super quick and turned out all right so I guess I have to colour all my sketches from hereon :)

Pokemon: vaguely realistic mega-pidgeot (and passenger)

Not quite down to the wire but close enough and done enough as far as I'm concerned.  One vaguely realistic mega-pidgeot and rider/passenger for The Great Pokemon Sky Race collab.  Learned a bit about feathers and feathering (one of the things being I need to learn more) and decided against adding fwoosh as I could not work out how to make speed lines look convincing with this style and I didn't have time to do the motion blue I was thinking of doing.  Probably did agility and tail wind in rapid succession to run away from XantheUnwinArt's terrifying shiny mega-charizard but I suppose running away from anything on a similar angle will suffice as far as the end result goes.

Pokemon SI: Before the Race

3d mega-pidgeot and low poly 3d-fyn

Me giving Flashwing a pep talk before the race, or something.  The bird and I are actual size.

I am actually going to get this done before/by the deadline though it will be missing a few things I wanted to include.  I'm going to be reasonably happy with the effort considering I had to make a few things up on the fly (and learned a bit in the process) and had lost a large chunk of time to work on it due to needing to pull some overtime on a paid gig.

October Homeschooling Miscellaney 2

Might try to do these as monthly things rather than semi-random ones.

Firstly, we are chick central again.  About three clutches with 7-10 chicks in each one.  Chappie's family want some of the naked necks.  This was the first lot.  Idiot hen had gone next door to brood, kids heard the cheeping and went next door to investigate.  Neighbour was astonished as she hadn't even realised they were there behind the shed, and just as well they'd only hatched that morning as she'd been dogsitting and the dog had left earlier in the day.

The picture of them is as day olds, they're now a week or so and feathering up.

AER: Club Can't Handle Me

Megan and Zara dance sketch

"You know I know how to make 'em stop and stare as I zone out, the club can't even handle me right now...watchin' you watchin' me I go all out, the club can't even handle me right now!"

The original idea was to the song "I Like the Way" by Bodyrockers and was going to be done in silhouette possibly with flashy background like some of the old iPod ads or the art that could be found on iTunes cards, which developed from thinking I should do a series like that of Megan dancing.

Kafulu!

Me: oh it's a cthulu
6yo: a what lu?
Me: cthulu. Can you say cthulu?
6yo: kafulu!

There was a very cute broad grin that accompanied the attempt.  Near enough is good enough for now, even I have trouble saying it XD

Another collection of stuff that I usually don't get around to posting at the time either due to being in the middle of something or because it was a little thing.

Biker Mice from Mars + FC: Unexpected Carry

Biker Mice from Mars fanart - Stoker hefting enGage

In response to a comment Artaith left on the Rescue sketch on deviantART XD Sprat made the point that it's entirely possible to "bridal carry" someone the same height as you but this was more fun and playful.  And I have no idea what the relationship between Stoker and enGage is, she may well cut out his heart for this in the next panel, I decided it was amusing for all concerned.  I also don't know if enGage actually wears fishnet stockings or tall boots, the reference I used was a half body.

Stoker belongs to whatever megacorp has the rights these days.
enGage belongs to Artaith.
